Support for Stroumyani

During the week from 19th to 23rd December YSPDB provides support to families in the region of the town of Stroumyani, which have economically disadvantaged families. This action was carried out with the support of the fund for "Social aid" under the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. In the frame of the project, 300 packages were handed out.

How to deal with gender issues

On July 3, 2006, YSPDB sent a group of youth to the international youth exchange in Italy.
The exchange, organized by Arciragazzi Circolo Merlino in Codigoro, focused on the topic, "How to deal with gender issues?" as part of the "All different, all equal" campaign.

Municipality Youth Council of Plovdiv - position on the new municipal youth Programme “Plovdiv for youngsters”

The Municipal Council of the town of Plovdiv adopted municipal Youth Programme “Plovdiv for youngsters”. The youth leaders from the Municipal Youth Council expressed their concern about the programme. According to them, the local youth Programme is neither democratic nor transparent.

YSPDB organized contact-building seminar in Plovdiv according to the frame of Action 5 of the YOUTH Programme on February 17-22, 2006. The meeting executed in cooperation with Plovdiv Municipality, a pool of trainers from the European Youth Forum and Municipal Youth Council of Plovdiv. Martina Vasilj and Bogdan Imre (European Youth Forum Pool of trainers), whose participation was a guarantee for the success of the seminar, facilitated the sessions.
EBCO Campaign to support conscientious objection in Turkey

With meetings with the Turkish delegation to the European Union and on the occasion of the Annual General Meeting on 10 and 11 February 2006 in Brussels the European Bureau for Conscientious Objection started its campaign for the recognition of the right of conscientious objection and to introduce a law for an alternative civilian service in the candidate country for the European Union.
“All different, all equal”
National Campaign Committee in Bulgaria has been established

Today the Bulgarian State Agency for Youth and Sports invited representatives of the state, non-governmental sector, media and other relevant actors to establish the National committee for the campaign "All different, all equal". More then 150 representatives attended the meeting. Deputy Ministers, members of the parliament, journalists, young leaders from political clubs, youth organizations, human rights organizations attended the meeting.
The chair of the Committee, Ms. Vessela Lecheva, is also the chair of the State agency of Youth and Sports and Secretary of the Committee is the leader of the social democratic political movement. She presented an overview of the campaign and defined its elements, structure, role of the non-governmental sector and other details vital to the campaign. Every organization is allowed to send its nominations for the coordinating body of the campaign until the end of the month. In addition, they are required to send their ideas and proposals for the action plan.
